Turkey ice cream? Salt and Straw in Seattle releases Thanksgiving flavors

It's time for feast mode

Just in time for the holiday season, Salt and Straw in Seattle is diving into all things salted caramel turkey and sweet potato casserole - sweet treat-style.

The family-run ice cream company known for its small-batch approach and taste-provoking flavors was originally founded by cousins Kim and Tyler Malek in Portland in 2011. After years of Lucky Charms- and juniper-infused ice creams, the brand expanded from its scoop shop in Portland, to additional outposts in the Bay Area, Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego and Seattle. Not to mention, a Miami shop is on the way.

Since its inception, classic scoops of sea salt with caramel ribbons and honey lavender have been accompanied by seasonal flavors on a monthly basis.

And now that it's November, it's time for all flavors of sweet and savory Thanksgiving dishes to make their mark on the ice cream world.
